Principal Consultant - Finance and Tax

Overview Malander is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to serve as a Principal Consultant for Finance and Tax. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the financial and tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and business development transactions within the organisation. The Principal Consultant will ensure that all M&A and BD activities are strategically executed, in compliance with regulations, and aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Diversify and develop a comprehensive understanding of financial and tax implications for various industries and sectors; Provide expert advice on financial and tax matters to senior management and stakeholders; Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners; Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with M&A and BD transactions; Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective financial and tax strategies; Stay up-to-date with changes in financial and tax regulations and industry trends. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Chartered Accountant (CA) designation preferred; Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and tax consulting, preferably in the M&A and BD space; Strong understanding of financial and tax regulations, including GAAP, IFRS, and relevant country-specific laws; Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
