About The Role

The Pricing Analyst sits within the Consumer Insurance area and reports to the Pricing Manager, Pricing Queries & Validation. In this role, you’ll manage pricing queries for Suncorp Insurance brands (Home, Motor, and Specialist Insurance), provide analytical support for pricing recommendations, and assist in operational and long-term pricing initiatives.

You will be a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, including contact centres, distribution areas, portfolio teams, and IT, ensuring that pricing queries are addressed promptly and effectively.

What You'll Do

Manage the pricing queries escalation process and respond within agreed SLAs Resolve pricing complaints and provide clear feedback to stakeholders Provide analytical support for pricing recommendations and price adjustments Assist with operational changes to enable real-time identification of individual risk Support address database updates and liaise with internal teams to implement changes Prepare regular and ad-hoc pricing reports for business stakeholders Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across Commercial & Consumer Insurance, contact centres, and IT Contribute to long-term pricing projects and process improvements Role model Suncorp’s Our Compass behaviours and Code of Conduct

Mandatory

What you'll bring

Tertiary qualification in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or Actuarial fields Minimum 1 year experience in an analytical role, preferably in Personal Insurance

Essential Skills

High-level problem-solving, numeracy, and analytical skills Strong ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills

Highly Desirable

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Tableau Basic knowledge of programming software/languages (e.g., SAS, R, Python) Understanding of insurance pricing, database structures, and data warehousing Experience with mainframe systems (e.g., Protect)
