Praktikum/Abschlussarbeit (m/w/d) in the Field of Sustainability

Tasks

• You support the initial creation and development of a structured CO₂ balance according to the GHG Protocol (Scope 1, 2, and 3) as a basis for our sustainability report 2026.
• You work on defining accounting frameworks and organizational boundaries and select methodological foundations.
• You help build a structured data collection and calculation process, select suitable emission factors (e.g. DEFRA, Umweltbundesamt), and support transparent handling of data gaps.
• You support the conceptual and methodical implementation of the balance and in the analysis and collection of relevant data.
• You prepare results addressably and lead initial measures for emissions reduction as well as further development of sustainability strategy.

Qualification

• Studies in economics, (business-)informatics, (IT-) sustainability or a comparable study program - preferably at the end of the bachelor's degree or master's degree (practicum and/or thesis within the study program).
• Interest in sustainability, CO₂ balance, and ESG topics as well as application of the GHG Protocol in the corporate context.
• Ideal would be first contacts and practical experiences with GHG Protocol or similar standards.
• Experience in handling data analysis, structured data collection, or comparable analytical tasks.
• Very good analytical skills and problem-solving competence.
• High level of self-reliance and team ability.
• Outstanding communication skills and secure handling in writing and speaking on German (C1) and English.
