Job description
100% remote · Part-time possible · Unpaid internship · Start by arrangement
The jacket you wear constantly. The second-hand piece you still need a combination for. A look into another person's wardrobe – and suddenly an idea for your own.
Your wardrobe has more in it.
I am Christopher, founder of Try It. I am developing an app that allows you to record your clothes, put together outfits, and discover new possibilities in your own wardrobe. What you wear from it is up to you.
Now I'm looking for someone who is keen to make Try It visible with me and build a community. You bring your perspective on fashion and people. I bring the app, the story behind it, and myself.
If you say: "Christopher, show that" or "I would tell it differently", I'm in.
Tasks
What you can help shape
We will agree on your focus areas according to your experience, learning goals, and available time.
- Develop and implement your own content. Combine a favorite item differently or show what actually ends up in the suitcase: You recognize such moments and turn them into Reels, TikToks, or Stories. Try It will be visible in real use.
- Participate in front of and behind the camera. You will develop formats, film, and create content. You are welcome to try things out yourself, tell stories, and show them, or involve me in your ideas. Your style and your humor are welcome.
- Invite people to participate. You will pick up on questions, stories, and outfit ideas. This can lead to conversations, small joint activities, and recurring formats.
- Get to know suitable creators. You will discover people with an interesting style and a genuine connection to their community. Together, we will prepare personal approaches and develop ideas for collaboration if there is mutual interest.
- Bring back observations. What did people recognize? What did they want to try? Where did a question remain open? Your insights will help to further develop content and the app.
This should create space for different people, bodies, budgets, and tastes. Whoever shows their clothes tells their own story and decides for themselves what they like.
Qualification
What you bring with you
You are interested in fashion, personal style, and the people behind them. You are keen to get to know Try It and try it out with your own wardrobe.
First practical experience with content or community work is important. Perhaps you have consciously developed your own channel, co-managed an account, implemented a creative project, or brought people together around a common interest. Even a small project counts.
This is what matters to me:
- Language skills and cultural sensitivity: You express yourself clearly and personally in German. You understand the language and humor of communities that interest you, and you notice when an approach seems artificial.
- Initiative and reliability: You contribute ideas, organize agreed tasks independently, and get in touch promptly if you need support.
- Judgment: You can justify why a piece of content or a creator is a good fit for Try It, and you ask questions if something seems unclear or not credible to you.
- Curiosity and openness: You want to learn, you can accept feedback, and you give me equally honest feedback. You remain respectful even with criticism.
Enjoyment of working in front of the camera and initial experience with video editing or design tools are welcome. You don't have to master everything yet, and you don't need a large personal reach.
Benefits
What you can build here
You will work directly with me as the founder and gain insight into product and brand development. At the beginning, we will agree on learning goals and a manageable scope of tasks. Regular exchange and feedback are part of it.
Together, we will document which published content and projects you can later present as your own work samples for your portfolio.
Production should remain manageable in everyday life: a smartphone, clear sound, a real room, and good observation can be enough. A successful moment can be simple.
Framework and remuneration
You will work completely remotely. We will agree on the start date, duration, and reliable weekly hours together; part-time is possible. A mandatory internship is also an option.
The internship is unpaid. Therefore, it is only an option if the legal requirements for your specific internship format are met. We will clarify this before the start.
Try It is under development. I am currently not earning anything from it myself and cannot offer remuneration at this time. This should be clear before you apply.
If it works out for both sides and the economic conditions arise, I would like to turn this into a paid, long-term collaboration. I cannot give a commitment for this today.
Keen to help shape things?
Apply directly via JOIN with your CV or a brief overview of your journey so far. I am also interested in three things:
- What appeals to you about Try It?
- What have you already created, published, or helped build? What was your contribution, and what did you learn from it?
- Which community or creator do you find exciting – and what makes the interaction there special for you?
I am happy to look at any videos, texts, or project links you have. Please also state your possible start date, the desired period, and the hours you can reliably commit per week.
For the initial application, you do not need a new concept or an application video. After an initial get-to-know-you, there may be a small work sample in the final selection round: a maximum of two hours of effort with a seven-day deadline. It serves our selection interview and will not be published or used as content.
I look forward to getting to know you.
