Internship M&A (Buy & Build/Private Equity) - Starting Immediately / Q1 2027

We are a founding team (backgrounds: HSG, ETH, BCG, Goldman Sachs) with a track record in investments and entrepreneurship. At the heart of our recently launched private equity firm, we offer an exceptional internship in Private Equity & Deal Execution. This is your chance to actively participate in the analysis, valuation, and execution of transactions, side-by-side with our Deal Lead and the co-founders.

Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing & Screening: Identification, outreach, and initial assessment of potential target companies; building and maintaining a structured deal pipeline
• Financial Modeling: Creation and further development of LBO models (capital structure, financial covenants, return analyses such as IRR/MOIC, sensitivity and scenario analyses)
• Due Diligence: Participation in Commercial, Financial, and Operational Due Diligence, including coordination with external advisors (auditors, lawyers, consultants)
• Investment Cases: Preparation of investment memorandums and presentations for Investment Committees; compilation of market, competitor, and company analyses
• Transaction Process: Support throughout the entire deal process from Term Sheet to SPA negotiations to Closing, including data room management
• Post-Merger Integration: Depending on needs, support in the Post-Merger Integration (PMI) of acquired companies may also be part of the responsibilities

Qualifications

• Availability for at least 6 months in full-time
• Strong analytical skills and a very good understanding of financial metrics, accounting, and valuation methods
• Initial experience in M&A, Private Equity, Investment Banking, Transaction Services, or Strategy Consulting is an advantage
• Very good Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with LBO/DCF modeling is a clear advantage
• Independent, structured way of working with high accuracy and discretion in handling sensitive information
• Entrepreneurial mindset (own projects, founding experience, or similar)
• Fluent German, Swiss German is an advantage
