Waters and soils are habitats for a wide variety of plants and animals. They form the basis for a reliable supply of unimpeachable drinking water and serve as local recreation areas. The Office for Waste, Energy and Air (AWEL) examines soil and water samples for pollutants and assesses their condition. As part of the national and cantonal surface water and groundwater monitoring, the waters are examined for organic trace substances such as pharmaceutical residues and pesticides. Your Tasks The focus is on sample preparation and instrumental analysis, such as the measurement and evaluation of water samples using state-of-the-art GC-APCI-MS/MS methods. In addition, the internship offers the opportunity to gain insight into other specialist areas of the AWEL. Your Profile You have a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or a related field, and you want to get to know the field of environmental analysis better.
