Intern Digital Analytics (m/f/d)| Starting September, Munich
Job description
What we stand for:
“We drive digital transformation end-to-end - from strategy to execution. Creating measurable progress and real impact for our clients.”
Stagnation? Not with us. We believe: Everything is BETA, and therein lies the opportunity for progress. Therefore, we question the existing, dare to try new things, and actively shape the digital transformation of our clients.
What distinguishes us? We think holistically. From strategic consulting to implementation, we support our clients end-to-end – with creativity, technological excellence, and a deep understanding of their business models. This is how measurable progress and sustainable impact are created.
And now it's your turn: We are looking for people with curiosity, ambition, and the courage to take responsibility. People who are eager to learn new things, delight our clients, and grow with us.
Your tasks:
Your mission: Search is currently changing faster than any textbook can keep up. Our clients – B2B market leaders from mechanical engineering, industry, and trade – are no longer just found on Google, but also in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode. How to systematically measure this is an open question. We are currently building a methodology for this, and you will not be the person formatting slides, but the one providing the data on which the methodology is based.
- Measure AI Visibility: You will regularly run our defined prompt sets through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, and Google AI Mode, document which brands and sources are cited, and identify changes over time. This is the data foundation from which our GEO methodology emerges.
- Prepare SEO Crawls with Screaming Frog, exports from Search Console, ranking and competitor comparisons. You will transform raw data into a usable format – and stand out if you notice anything peculiar.
- Analyze Logfiles: You will check if and how AI crawlers like GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, or PerplexityBot access customer sites – and whether they might be blocked without anyone noticing.
- Test Tracking: You will verify if tracking setups are actually doing what they are supposed to: firing events, capturing consent states, and providing plausible numbers. You will get to know GA4 and Google Tag Manager from a side you won't see in any course.
- Prepare Reports: You will build the data basis for monthly client reports and learn which numbers support a decision and which just fill the report.
- Document Methodology: You will document our approach – prompt sets, definitions, measurement limitations. At the end of your internship, something will exist that continues without you. This is the part you can later point to in the job interview.
- Thinking along is explicitly allowed: You will be present in team meetings, listen in when results are discussed, and are allowed to ask why we do things a certain way. Sometimes the honest answer is "because we've always done it that way" – and then your question is the best of the day.
What you can impress us with:
- Studies or Career Change: You are pursuing a Master's degree in data, marketing, business, media, or computer science, or you come from a different background and can explain why this topic captivates you. We are interested in minds, not study regulations.
- First practical experience: At least one relevant position where you have already worked in a team with real deadlines. A previous internship or working student position in an agency, consultancy, B2B company, or international corporation, preferably also freelance work or your own project with clients. For us, this is not a formality: those who have already seen project work from the inside will get started here significantly faster.
- Meticulousness: A large part of this work is repeatable measurement. Those who become imprecise produce data that cannot be relied upon. If you know that accuracy is your strength, it's worth more here than any tool certification.
- Curiosity about AI, not just usage: You haven't just used ChatGPT and Perplexity, but have already wondered where the answers actually come from. Your own observations are more valuable to us than a list of tools.
- Solid Excel or Sheets skills, and no fear of large amounts of data. First exposure to SQL, GA4, or Search Console is a plus.
- Independence within limits: You ask questions when something is unclear instead of guessing, and then work independently, hands-on, without needing constant supervision.
- Languages: Very good German, fluent English.
- Availability: Minimum 6 months. It's not worth it for you for shorter periods – the first few weeks are for onboarding.
What we need from you:
Mission started?! Then we need from you:
- Your CV
- What compensation you envision for your performance
- Your notice period or possible start date
Why us?
An internship with us is not a parking spot. You will work on a topic that no one has fully solved yet – with real customer data, in a team that asks you what you have observed.
- A Future-Proof Topic: AI Search is not a niche that will disappear. What you learn here will be a sought-after profile in two years, and you can then prove that you were there from the beginning.
- Real Support: Dedicated contact person, weekly jour fixe, interim and final feedback. No "Get in touch if you need anything."
- Perspective for Employment, Honestly Stated: We are building this field and are simultaneously hiring at a senior level. If it fits, a path through a junior role into one of these two positions is realistic – we don't promise it, but we mean it.
- Pure Team Spirit: Collegial teams with genuine cohesion, helpfulness, and a good dose of humor.
- Transparent Structures: Flat hierarchies and a lived open-door mentality – exchange at eye level is a matter of course, even for interns.
- Flexible Working Hours: We accommodate studies and internships together. We plan around exam periods if you inform us in advance.
- Mobility & Events: Public transport ticket subsidy, team events, and the opportunity to attend industry conferences.
- Loft Offices: Centrally located, modernly equipped – with space for exchange, ideas, and of course snacks & drinks.
This position is an internship within the Consulting Cluster of TOWA. The compensation is 1,800 EUR gross per month on a full-time basis. In case of a part-time model, the amount will be adjusted pro rata.
In line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive (2023/970) and country-specific equal treatment laws, we publish the salary range for each role and do not ask candidates about their current or previous salary. Our criteria for salary determination – cluster, level, skills, area of responsibility, and experience – are applied uniformly across the company. You can request further information about the salary range for this role or our compensation policy in writing at any time during the entire process.
Equal Opportunity
TOWA hires based on skills and impact. We welcome applications from all qualified individuals – regardless of gender, age, background, origin, religion, sexual orientation, or disability. The job title applies to all genders (m/f/d).
