Praktikum / Bachelor / Masterarbeit: Operational Analytics for the Nova Platform - Full Stack

Unisphere GmbH, an agile startup in the technology-, information- and internet industry, is looking for a Bachelor / Master thesis: Derivation of empirical flight limits for drones based on historical flight data. With its headquarters in Konstanz, Germany, Unisphere has been developing innovative solutions for unmanned aviation since 2017. Our company offers support for drone operators and helicopter manufacturers through our NOVA platform, which functions as a digital co-pilot. We are internationally active and serve customers in Europe, the USA, and Asia. Tasks

Tech Stack: Python, FastAPI, AWS Lambda, Batch Processing, Weather Data, Statistics, optional Frontend

In this project, you will develop tools for analyzing historical weather data for specific locations and time periods.
Your Tasks:

• Data preparation, transformation, and batch processing of weather and analysis data
• Development of statistical evaluations and analyses
• Integration into existing NOVA services
• (Optional) Creation of a frontend for visualization and interaction
• Automated deployment (AWS)

Qualification

• Studies in Computer Science, Data Science, Geoinformatics or a related field
• Familiarity with at least one of the mentioned tech stacks
• Interest in weather and geodata, cloud services or telemetry
• Pleasure in working independently on real production systems
• Good communication skills and teamwork
