Job description
We are building the tax firm of the future
Radically simple. Highly automated. 100% client-focused.
We are rethinking tax consulting completely: simple, fast, and transparent for clients and the firm's team alike.
Where other firms struggle with manual processes, long waiting times, and intransparent communication, we are building a completely new experience - digital, proactive, AI-supported. With automated processes in the background and digital interfaces to the client, repetitive tasks largely run themselves - so the team has time for what really matters: consulting, special cases, and smart solutions.
The difference to other "digital firms": Over half of our team are software developers. Your colleagues build the tools that really help you in your daily sales work - for your problems, not off-the-shelf.
We are an experienced founding team of tax advisors, digital entrepreneurs, and software developers with an exit track record of €140 million. Together with you, we want to build one of the leading tax firms in Germany.
Your Role
As an intern in the Growth Team, you are the first point of contact between Skalar and potential clients. You will work like a Sales Development Representative (SDR): You will approach leads, qualify them, and schedule appointments for our team.
Because Tech and Sales work together here, you are close to where outreach becomes a scalable process. You will not only experience how modern B2B sales works, but also actively help to improve it - from lead quality to outreach. An internship at Skalar is an opportunity to see in a short time how sales is built in a fast-growing tech company - and to learn from an ambitious team.
Your tasks
Outbound & Appointment Setting
Approach leads by phone, email, and LinkedIn - consistently follow up and plan follow-ups cleanly
Qualify prospects: ask the right questions, understand needs, and check if a lead is "sales-ready"
Coordinate qualified appointments for our Sales Team and hand over all relevant information in a structured manner
Maintain and cleanly document all activities in the CRM
Lead & Process Projects
Improve lead quality: identify suitable target clients and contact persons, enrich and prioritize data
Own projects along the pipeline - e.g., preparation and qualification of leads from channels such as Podcast Ads, Newsletter Ads, Offline Events, etc.
Continuously optimize outreach: test messaging, sequences, and channels and further develop them based on data
Tech & Automation
Test and document internal Sales Tools and workflows
Contribute to the automation of recurring tasks (e.g., lead research, data enrichment, outreach sequences)
Data preparation and simple analyses for controlling outreach
What you bring
Studies with an economic, communicative, or comparable focus - career changers with the right mindset are explicitly welcome
Strong communication skills and enjoyment of talking to people - also on the phone
Structure, independence, and a sales mindset: you persist and think in terms of results
Fluent German; English is an advantage
High affinity for tools; ideally first experience with CRM, outreach tools, or automation (No-Code, APIs)
Desire to work in an early-stage team with a high degree of personal responsibility - without fully developed processes, but with real scope for design
