Your Role

As an Intern in the Tax Team, you will work at the heart of operational and technical tax consulting – on real client cases, not examples. You will support our tax advisors along the entire value chain: from ongoing bookkeeping and preparing tax returns to technical research.

Because Tech and Tax work together here, you will be close to where manual work becomes automation. You won't just experience how a modern tax firm operates, but you will actively help improve its processes. Your Tasks

Operational Support

• Preparation of financial accounting: document processing, account assignment, account reconciliation (DATEV)

• Support in the digital mail and notice processing by deadline control and smart document classification

• Simple assistance with tax returns and advance notifications (income tax, business taxes) at the draft level; you will receive feedback and can develop new skills

• Preparation of annual financial statement packages and business reports

Client & Process Support

• Structured client communication (requesting documents, follow-ups)

• Maintenance of client master data and support in deadline control

Tech & Automation

• Testing and documenting internal tools and workflows

• Contributing to the automation of recurring tasks (e.g., document classification, data extraction, interfaces)

• Data preparation and simple analysis

What You Bring

• Studies with a focus on tax or business administration

• Basic understanding of bookkeeping and German tax law

• Proficient in Excel; initial experience with DATEV is an advantage

• Carefulness and precision – every detail counts with us

• Structured, independent working style

• Fluent German; English is an advantage depending on client structure

• High affinity for tools; ideally, initial exposure to automation or scripting (Python, APIs, No-Code)

• Nice to have: genuine interest in process optimization and digitalization beyond the pure technical task

• Enthusiasm to work in an early-stage team with a high degree of personal responsibility – without fully established processes, but with real scope for design
