Job description

We are a non-profit and non-partisan organization with headquarters in Munich and another office in Berlin. As experts in political communication, we drive change processes around the energy transition and climate protection – through constructive dialogue, solution-oriented messages, and non-partisan cooperation with diverse partners. We are strong in network work, agile lobbying strategies, and creating communication opportunities.

For our Berlin office, we are looking for an intern for 1-2 months who wants to gain practical insight into political communication, stakeholder management, and the work of a non-profit climate protection organization.

Tasks

As an intern, you will work on your own concrete project task on the Clean Economy and will also gain insights into the ongoing work of our team. Your tasks will include, among others:

  • Research on Clean Economy companies and their communication channels. Use and testing of modern research and AI tools for information gathering

  • Support in creating our weekly policy monitoring on relevant developments at the EU, federal, and state levels

  • Research and creation of stakeholder and background profiles to prepare for political discussions

  • Support in strategic communication planning and the development of messages for different target groups

  • Participation in team meetings as well as accompanying discussions, events, and external appointments

  • Support with further tasks in the area of political communication and public affairs

What you bring

  • Strong interest in politics, climate protection, economic transformation, and energy transition

  • Ongoing studies, for example, in political, social, communication, economic, or environmental sciences

  • Quick comprehension and the ability to independently familiarize yourself with complex (energy) political issues

  • Structured and meticulous way of working

  • Initiative, reliability, and a desire to learn

  • Very good German skills as well as very good English skills, both written and spoken

What we offer you

  • Practical insight into political communication and advocacy in the climate protection sector

  • Valuable contacts in the Berlin political and NGO scene for your future career.

  • Responsible tasks and space for your own ideas

  • Direct collaboration with management and the entire team, as well as flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes

  • A nice office in Berlin-Mitte with the option of home office (1-2 days per week)

  • An allowance of €400 gross per month

We look forward to meeting you!
