Callwey is an independent publishing house, founded in 1884 by Georg D.W. Callwey as a visionary specialist publisher for architecture and design, with its headquarters in Munich. Callwey stands today for high-quality publications with the focus areas of architecture, design, living, garden, cooking, fashion, and lifestyle with approximately 30 new releases and 8 awards with highly esteemed expert juries per year.

We are looking for a trainee (m/w/d) to work in our department Awards & Events for a duration of five to six months starting immediately or shortly after consultation.

Tasks

– You will learn the processes in awards and event management.

– You will support various processes from the announcement to the award ceremony.

– You will create sales materials and presentations with.

– You will maintain website data and support online content.

– You will take over back-office tasks (address research, trend scouting, information preparation for the award sales team).

– You will work on book projects.

– You will work on the further development of our social media platforms.

Qualification

– You are studying communication, media science or a comparable degree and completing an internship as part of your studies.

– You have interest in our topic areas and are online-affine.

– You bring knowledge of social media with you.

– You are communicative, open, resilient, and quickly adapt to new tasks.

– You work organized, structured, and independently.

– Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Canva is advantageous.

– You ideally have first experiences in the publishing or media sector.
