Praktikant (m/w/d) for Project Management and Translations into German

ALPHA TRANSLATION SERVICE is a translation agency that has been offering comprehensive language services at its branches in Berlin and Brussels since 1991. The translation office has broad practical experience with translations in various fields: technology, medicine, art and culture, law, and marketing. Quality and an above-average customer service are always top priority.

We are looking for a part-time intern (m/w/d) for project management and translations into German (C2) at our Filiale in Berlin.

The internship should be full-time and possible for at least 3 months (preferably as part of a compulsory internship).

Main tasks will include, among other things, preparing smaller translations, proofreading – mother tongue or C2 German level, first foreign language English. Experience with CAT tools is an advantage!

Tasks

Support in:

* Translation assignments

* Translating and proofreading texts of smaller scope into the mother tongue

* Preparing translation texts

* TM maintenance, terminology database management, and data base maintenance

* Quality assurance of translations

Qualification

* Student in main studies (matriculation is required)

* Confident handling of PC (Outlook, Word, Excel - no beginner's knowledge);

* English in writing and speaking, German with a sense of style

* Customer-oriented and eloquent

* Organizational talent, team spirit, and stress resistance;

* Affinity for accuracy
