Intern Inventory & Strategic Operations (m/f/d)

130,000 vehicles per year. Six countries. Behind every transaction are vehicle valuations, capacity planning, and route optimization, processes that are currently being actively scaled at CarOnSale. As an intern in Strategic Operations, you will accompany this build-up from the inside: real data, real decision-making bases, AI tools in use. No case study.

Location: Centrally located in Berlin – Hybrid, 3 days office, 2 days home office.

Duration: 5 to 6 months, full-time. Start: by agreement.

Your Tasks

• Process Optimization: You will support the further development of our inspection and dispatching processes and help to make them more efficient and scalable.
• Data-Driven Analysis: You will assist in analyzing existing workflows, such as route efficiency, appointment utilization, and quality rates, and help to derive improvement measures.
• AI and Automation: You will get to know our AI tools and participate in building automations and agents that solve real operational problems.
• Reporting: You will help create presentations and reports that convey performance metrics and strategic initiatives to management.
• Teamwork: You will work closely with team leads, dispatchers, and operations management and support ongoing projects.

What you bring

Must-have

• Studies in Business Administration, Economics, (Industrial) Engineering, Logistics, Data Science, or a related field, or already have a degree
• Analytical and structured thinking combined with a hands-on mentality
• Proficient in numbers and data; Excel and PowerPoint are a matter of course
• AI-affine working method; you actively use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini in your daily work
• German C1 and English C1; both languages are part of the daily work routine

Nice to have

• Initial experience in consulting, business development, operations, or a data-driven environment
• SQL or initial experience with BI tools
• Interest in or experience with the automotive industry
