Practice Nurse

Mō te tūnga | About the role The Force Health Organisation provides health services to NZDF personnel across New Zealand, helping to maintain, improve, and restore health in support of operational effectiveness. The Defence Health Centre at Trentham is seeking a fully registered Practice Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team and deliver comprehensive primary healthcare services to NZDF military personnel. This is a Monday to Friday role within a small, high-performing nursing team—no shift work or on-call duties are required. As part of the Defence Health Centre's commitment to providing exceptional patient care, you will be expected to maintain accurate records, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of primary healthcare principles and practices, with experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
