The Practice Leader will be responsible for leading our Wastewater Treatment team in New Zealand, providing technical expertise and guidance to project managers and engineers. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects that meet client needs and expectations. Key responsibilities include: • Leading a team of wastewater treatment specialists • Providing technical guidance and support to project managers and engineers • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities • Collaborating with other teams within Stantec to deliver integrated solutions • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards • Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning • Developing and managing budgets and resources for the Wastewater Treatment team • Providing input on business development strategies and proposals • Participating in internal and external meetings, committees, and working groups • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices • Mentoring and coaching junior staff members • Developing and maintaining a network of contacts within the wastewater treatment industry • Providing input on company-wide initiatives and policies • Participating in internal and external training programs to enhance skills and knowledge • Collaborating with other teams to develop and implement new processes and procedures • Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with Stantec's values, policies, and procedures.
