Power Transmission System Expert

Overview Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (COI) team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Microsoft's cloud infrastructure, spanning site selection, development, and operations. Our global footprint includes more than 400 datacenters in 34 countries, supported by over 165,000 miles of fiber optic cable. These facilities form the backbone of Microsoft Azure and are central to our commitment to reliable, secure, and sustainable digital infrastructure. As part of the COI Energy Team , we are seeking a Power Transmission System Expert who will be responsible for designing, building, and operating power transmission systems that support our cloud infrastructure. This role requires expertise in power transmission system design, construction, and operation, as well as experience with energy management and optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, power flow, and transmission line theory. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with industry-standard software tools for power transmission system modeling and simulation.
