Job description
Joining Mines Saint-Étienne means committing to an institution where science and innovation build a more sustainable future. An institution of excellence where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential and contribute to meeting tomorrow's challenges.
Ranked among the best engineering schools in France and recognized worldwide, our school, a member of the Institut Mines-Télécom, trains the talents of tomorrow while actively contributing to addressing major industrial, digital, and environmental challenges. With us, you join a community of 500 employees, 2500 students, and participate in an ambitious project: combining academic excellence, cutting-edge research, and positive societal impact.
The Institut Mines-Télécom federates French engineering schools around major industrial, digital, energy, and ecological challenges. With its 8 public Grandes Écoles and 2 affiliated schools, it is the leading public institute dedicated to engineers and managers. Together, we imagine and build a sustainable future by training the actors who will shape the transitions of tomorrow.
🎯 What we expect from you:
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be at the heart of our research and innovation missions, assigned to the CMP Training and Research Center located in Gardanne (Bouches-du-Rhône, 13). It is one of the School's five training and research centers. It comprises four research departments, including the Flexible Electronics (FEL) department, within which the postdoctoral position is open. The FEL department has 25 people, including 7 professors-researchers, 1 engineer, and 15 postdoctoral and doctoral researchers.
The mission focuses on the development of a biodegradable sodium battery for temporary medical devices.
The system will be entirely composed of bioresorbable materials, with an adjustable lifespan. Performance will be evaluated in vivo, including electrochemical stability and wireless recharging. This research will offer a safer solution for powering short-term medical implants.
🔍 What we are looking for:
You hold a Doctorate and are seeking a Postdoc position.
🌍 Why join Mines Saint-Étienne?
We support each of our employees on the path to excellence, with the conviction that together, we can have a lasting and significant impact on our world.

· Incomparable quality of life: 49 days of leave and RTT (reduction of working time), partial remote work, 75% coverage of public transport costs, financial support for carpooling and cycling, and a social barometer where 83% of employees praise the quality of work life.
Let's build a more sustainable future through science, engineering, and meaningful projects.
