🎯 What we expect from you

As a postdoctoral researcher, you are at the heart of our missions in research, training, and innovation; assigned to the Provence Microelectronics Center. Within this center, you will combine scientific passion with an interest in applied research.

The Secure Systems and Architectures (SAS) department at the Provence Microelectronics Center (CMP) studies the security of electronic components and the data they contain (such as cryptography keys, software, intellectual property blocks, data in memories, etc.) against fraudulent manipulations commonly called hardware “attacks.” The SAS department’s teacher-researchers contribute to the development of hardware, software, and cryptographic protections against these attacks, and more broadly to proposing security solutions for mobile objects.

The SAS department is associated with CEA Leti in a joint team, the EC SAS, currently comprising 32 people.

The recruitment of a Research Engineer in Hardware Security is part of the SecMemPCM project funded by the Occitanie Region. Your mission is a research mission on the subject of susceptibility to fault injection of new non-volatile memories.

· You will conduct research on the susceptibility of new emerging non-volatile memories (eNVM) to hardware attacks, and particularly to fault injection attacks.

· You will carry out experimental tests to characterize the behavior of various types of eNVMs under fault injection attacks. You will analyze the results to understand and model the associated mechanisms.

· You will report on the activities and results falling under your responsibilities.

Your ability to work in a project-based manner and to conduct research will be essential for success.

🔍 What we are looking for

You hold a Doctorate.

You have scientific skills in Microelectronics and/or Hardware Security.

And ideally:

· With experience in the field of hardware security and fault injection techniques.

· Junior accepted: Yes

· Proficiency in English (C1 level).

Your additional assets:

• You hold a thesis in microelectronics and/or hardware security.

• You have practical experience with fault injection techniques.
