Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistical Learning and Generative AI - 12-month Fixed-Term Contract

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistical Learning and Generative AI to join the Image Data Signal (IDS) department at Télécom Paris.

The specific topic of this postdoc concerns the calibration of generative models for data. In the literature, there are very few practical and theoretical results regarding the ability of generative models to provide, at inference time, a measure of uncertainty on certain targeted properties. This is nevertheless a prerequisite for using generative AI in critical fields such as health or security. The postdoc will explore this new topic in light of recent calibration tools, starting with the generation of multivariate data, and will eventually study how the chosen approach can be extended to non-Euclidean data such as graphs.

Your main missions will be to:

• Undertake research missions in the field of Statistical Learning

• Undertake supervision and tutoring missions

• Participate in the reputation of the School, Institut Mines-Télécom, and Institut Polytechnique de Paris

You hold a doctorate or equivalent in statistical learning and are proficient in statistical learning, generative models, and uncertainty quantification methods. A good command of English is essential. Knowledge of Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Spaces and Optimal Transport will be appreciated. You also have good teamwork skills, interpersonal and pedagogical qualities, and good synthesis skills.
