Role Description

We are seeking full-time, remote English ↔ European/Brazilian Portuguese Interpreters. In this role, you will provide accurate consecutive interpretation over the phone between English and Portuguese in medical, customer service, social services, emergency, and/or legal settings. You will play a key role in facilitating communication between providers and LEPs (Limited English Proficient individuals) to ensure clear understanding and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Medical Interpretation and strong interpreting skills

• Solid knowledge of medical, customer service, social services, and/or legal terminology

• Fluency in English and European/Brazilian Portuguese (spoken and written)

• Excellent listening and communication skills

• Relevant certification in medical interpretation or related field preferred

• Strict adherence to HIPAA compliance

Technical Requirements

• Wired internet connection (Ethernet, directly to router; no Wi-Fi)

• Noise-canceling microphone and USB headset

• Latest version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox

• Full-time availability, Monday–Friday
