Portfolio Head – South East (I & II) Location: Chennai Department: Credit & Risk About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic Portfolio Head to lead credit governance and risk management for our South East region. This role involves end-to-end oversight of underwriting, portfolio quality, and risk mitigation strategies. You will mentor and coach credit teams, ensure compliance with policies, and help achieve state-level targets for portfolio, NPA, and profitability. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Manage the overall performance of the credit portfolio in the South East region, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. ✅ Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize potential losses and optimize returns. ✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. ✅ Provide guidance and support to credit teams to enhance their skills and knowledge in credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management. ✅ Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to stakeholders. Key Requirements: ✅ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. ✅ Minimum 8 years of experience in credit risk management, with a focus on portfolio management and underwriting. ✅ Strong understanding of credit governance, risk management, and regulatory requirements. ✅ Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills. ✅ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
