Political Data Analyst (w/d/m)

Your Tasks

• Development and implementation of innovative, data-based solutions for political communication, such as chatbots, automated classification systems or AI-supported text analyses.
• Setup and maintenance of ETL pipelines to enrich and process political stakeholder data from various sources (Social Media APIs, Ad Libraries).
• Training, fine-tuning, and deployment of machine learning models, for example, for discourse analysis, sentiment classification, or toxic language detection.
• Development of automated data collection processes.
• Processing and analysis of geospatial data to link electoral districts and communication strategies.
• Setup and further development of dashboards and social listening tools to monitor public opinion on Social Media, online forums, and news portals.
• Creation and evaluation of surveys.
• Analysis of the performance of social media campaigns (organic and paid) including benchmarking and A/B testing.
• Presentation of analysis results in a clear and understandable manner for internal stakeholders and clients.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in political science, sociology, economics, business administration, computer science or a comparable field with a focus on data analysis.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Fundamental programming knowledge in Python as well as knowledge of SQL. Experience with R is desirable.
• Experience with Hugging Face for fine-tuning ML models and inference over Inference APIs.
• First experiences with data infrastructure (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ETL processes (e.g., dbt).
• Experience in handling Large Language Models (LLMs), including RAG architectures and API binding (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models).
• Knowledge of data collection through APIs as well as automation with tools like Dagster or n8n.
• Able to present data in a clear and understandable manner both internally and externally.
• Strong interest in current political topics and the digital political discourse.
• High degree of flexibility and enthusiasm for an exciting and dynamic work environment.
• Fluent German and good English skills.
