SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER MARITIME SECTOR

We are selecting for a client company leader in the maritime sector


Project Manager


In this role, you will be the point of reference for the management and coordination of contracts in the maritime sector, with a specific focus on the design, production, and onboard installation of furnishing components.

The resource will constantly interface with the Technical Office, Production, and Installation Teams on shipyards, ensuring compliance with deadlines, costs, and required quality standards.

The duties will include:

  • Planning and Control: Preparation of the contract timeline, monitoring of the budget and bill of materials in collaboration with the Technical Office.
  • Logistics and Procurement: Verification of material stocks, issuance of purchase requisitions (RdA), and supervision of shipping and delivery times/methods to the shipyard or production sites.
  • Shipyard Management: Monitoring of the progress of works (SAL) and control of onboard installation activities. Management of relationships with shipyard Project Managers, architects, and Owner Representatives.
  • Contract Administration: Verification of documentation for subcontractors, management of passive SAL, authorization for invoicing, payments, and release of guarantees.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promotion of improvement actions and recovery strategies to optimize contract flows and achieve company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Education: High school diploma or degree in Architecture, Engineering (Naval/Nautical/Management), Naval/Nautical Design, or related disciplines; equivalent educational paths and professional experiences will also be positively evaluated.
  • Experience: Several years of experience (preferably five years) in project management, ideally gained in the naval, nautical, or fitting-out sectors in highly complex environments.
  • Leadership skills, crisis management, and problem-solving skills working under pressure.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and the ADOBE package for the analysis of graphic and technical layouts.
  • Computer Tools: Excellent knowledge of the main computer tools (Microsoft Office or equivalent).
  • Management Systems: Familiarity with company ERP systems;
  • Contract: Permanent employment.
  • Positioning: According to the CCNL Metalmeccanica Confapi – industrial companies.
  • Work location: Genoa with availability for frequent travel to reference shipyards.
  • Salary Range: To be evaluated during interviews
  • RESIDENCE IN GENOA AND ORIGIN FROM THE REFERENCE SECTOR, MARITIME OR CRUISE, IS ESSENTIAL
