PL/SQL Support

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced PL/SQL Support Engineer with 8+ years of handson experience in Oracle PL/SQL development and production support. The ideal

candidate should have strong troubleshooting and debugging skills and preferably have

experience working in a logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related domain.

The role requires someone who can independently handle production issues, analyze

complex PL/SQL code, troubleshoot database-related problems, and provide timely

support to business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Oracle database and PL/SQL-based

applications.

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PL/SQL procedures, functions,

packages, triggers, and complex SQL queries.

• Analyze and resolve production issues within defined SLAs.

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring and critical issues.

• Troubleshoot database performance issues and optimize SQL queries and

PL/SQL code.

• Monitor batch jobs, interfaces, and scheduled processes and resolve failures.

• Work closely with application, functional, and business teams to understand

and resolve issues.

• Perform data analysis and data fixes when required, following appropriate

change-control procedures.

• Handle incident, problem, and change management activities.

• Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge-sharing activities.

• Participate in production deployments, release activities, and post-deployment

validation.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL.

• Strong experience in:

o SQL and PL/SQL

o Stored Procedures

o Functions

o Packages

o Triggers

o Cursors

o Exception Handling

o Complex SQL queries

• Strong production support and troubleshooting experience.

• Good understanding of Oracle database architecture and performance

tuning.

• Experience with SQL query optimization and database performance analysis.

• Ability to debug and resolve complex production issues independently.

• Experience with batch jobs, scheduling, and data interfaces.

• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred / Domain Experience:

• Experience in Logistics / Transportation / Supply Chain applications is highly

preferred.

• Experience working with transportation management, shipment, order,

warehouse, routing, or delivery-related systems will be an advantage.

• Candidates with strong PL/SQL production support experience in other

business-critical domains may also be considered.
