Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer to join our team, with a strong focus on coding, query optimization, and data modeling within the banking domain. The candidate will play a vital role in designing, developing, and tuning complex queries and stored procedures to ensure high-volume data processing performance. This role offers opportunities to learn new tools and technologies and work within Agile frameworks.
Must-Have Skills
1. Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development
2. Hands-on experience in coding and designing efficient queries, stored procedures, and packages
3. In-depth knowledge of query fine-tuning and performance optimization
4. Strong understanding of analytical functions and data modeling
5. Experience handling high-volume data in a production environment
6. Exposure to Agile methodologies
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
8. Professional experience in the banking domain
Good-to-Have Skills
1. Working knowledge of UNIX or Linux environments
2. Experience with additional database tools or technologies
3. Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
4. Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment practices
5. Strong oral and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain efficient Oracle SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and packages
2. Perform query fine-tuning to optimize execution and enhance system performance
3. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
4. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across high-volume datasets
5. Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of database issues
6. Contribute to data modeling and schema design as per project requirements
7. Work within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
8. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Oracle database technologies
Educational Qualification
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
2. Relevant Oracle certifications are preferred
