PLC Software Engineer

The Challenge

We are looking for a PLC Software Engineer for our client in the Echt region, effective immediately. Our client develops and builds high-quality packaging machines for the food industry and delivers custom solutions for the final packaging of both flexible and rigid products to customers worldwide.

The machines are controlled via high-tech control systems that are fully programmed in-house by software engineers. These are diverse machines with complex, multiple (master-slave) movements. As a PLC Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain the PLC and HMI software for these packaging lines.

What will you do?

As a PLC Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain the PLC and HMI software for these packaging lines, featuring diverse machines with complex, multiple (master-slave) movements.

Your activities will include:

• Developing and maintaining PLC and HMI software for machines with complex, multiple movements

• Testing the software, commissioning the machines, and resolving malfunctions and technical bottlenecks

• Ensuring clear technical documentation of the developed control software

• Close collaboration with hardware engineers, project managers, and fellow software developers within the project team

Hard skills

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent

• Experience with the development and programming of PLC and HMI software

Nice to have

• Affinity with machines featuring complex, multiple (master-slave) movements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience in machine building or the packaging industry
