Platform Operations Engineer (DevOps) (m/w/d)

As Platform Operations Engineer (DevOps) at our customer, you will establish the foundation for the operation of a stable and scalable cloud infrastructure in a long-term managed service project for one of the largest tech companies in Europe. Together with an experienced team, you will ensure the smooth operation of Kubernetes environments, continuous monitoring of systems, and analysis and resolution of incidents. In this role, you will make a significant contribution to service quality and platform development.

Tasks

• Operation and further development of global cloud infrastructures (Kubernetes, APIs, monitoring tools)
• Incident and problem management including root cause analysis
• Implementation of optimizations on system and process level
• On-call duty in rotation with the team (24/7, with response time < 5 minutes)
• Closely working together with engineering-, service- and customer teams
• Inter-team communication in English (daily/weekly remote, team days on-site)

Qualification

Must Haves

• Fundamental experience in operating Kubernetes environments
• Willingness to undergo a SÜ2 review
• Willingness to perform on-call duties (with extra compensation)
• Teamwork, communication strength, and self-responsible work

Nice to Have

• Experience in customer communication
• Knowledge in other areas of platform development (e.g. automation, CI/CD)

You will become part of a 25-member DevOps team. Your role will be established within the framework of a globally designed large-scale project.
