Platform Engineer

The Challenge Ingesting data from multiple external vastly different sources at hundreds of rich data points per second, moving terabytes of data, and processing it in real-time requires a highly skilled and experienced Platform Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, data processing, and cloud computing, with experience in designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems. The Platform Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Vortexa platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance. This includes designing and implementing data pipelines, processing and analyzing large datasets, and integrating with external systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with containerization using Docker. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or AWS Glue. The Platform Engineer will work closely with the data science team to develop and maintain data pipelines, and collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement new features. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Platform Engineer will be expected to work on a variety of projects, including data processing, data visualization, and data storytelling.
