HITS.NRW is a newly founded, central IT service provider for public universities in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Our mission: Together with the Fachhochschulen we shape the future of university IT. To achieve this, we develop nationwide scalable services from the areas of Cloud, Cyber Security, Software and IT Procurement. What awaits you

• You are responsible for building, developing and operating our highly available community cloud and multi-cloud portal.
• To ensure smooth deployments and short release cycles, you optimize CI/CD pipelines, work closely with development teams and automate scaling and monitoring processes.
• In the context of incident management, you are responsible for setting up and operating observability solutions and analyses to improve stability.
• You also advise customers and internal stakeholders on platform usage and are part of various workshops and know-how-sharing sessions.

What you bring

• A completed university degree in (business) informatics or comparable qualification.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as a platform / cloud / devops engineer in enterprise environments.
• In-depth knowledge of at least one public cloud.
• Fundamental knowledge with containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and safe handling of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience in operating CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks and good knowledge of network technologies, Linux and scripting.
• German language skills at least on C1 level and good English language skills.
