Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Role

As a Platform Engineer (m/f/d), you will actively shape a central development platform in a modern hybrid multi-cloud environment.

You ensure that development teams can get from commit to production as efficiently as possible. To achieve this, you will develop standardized Golden Paths and Self-Services, reduce technical complexity, and embed Security, Quality, and Compliance directly into the platform solutions.

Responsibilities

• You will continuously develop and enhance an Internal Developer Platform in a hybrid multi-cloud environment.
• You will develop standardized Golden Paths and automated Self-Services that support development teams in their daily software development process.
• Together with the development teams, you will optimize the Developer Experience and reduce unnecessary technical complexity.
• You will integrate requirements for Security, Quality, and Compliance directly into platform services and CI/CD processes.
• You will design and optimize the Software Development Lifecycle from commit to production deployment.
• You will establish FinOps practices and create transparency regarding the usage and costs of cloud resources.

Qualifications

• You have several years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, or Cloud Engineering.
• You have already designed, built, or significantly developed Internal Developer Platforms.
• You possess very good practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• You have experience with cloud-native software development and ideally with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• You are familiar with concepts such as Golden Paths, Self-Services, Infrastructure as Code, and Developer Experience from practical application.
• You are characterized by conceptual strength, abstraction ability, and a structured way of working.
• You communicate confidently with development teams and various technical stakeholders.
• You have fluent German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills (at least B2).
