Platform Engineer - Identity & Access Management (Azure/Entra ID)

Salary Transparency

This position is aimed at candidates with more than 3 years of professional experience. The salary varies depending on experience and lies between70,000 € and 95,000 € gross per year.

Work Model: Full-time, hybrid; 2–3 days a week on-site.

Location: Hamburg, Germany (Eppendorf).

Muxon is a small, internationally active recruitment agency and conducts this search on behalf of our partner, a meaningful health-tech company that develops AI-based clinical software solutions used in hospitals to improve patient care. The company works in a very collaborative, dynamic environment and seeks an experienced IT Platform Engineer who will take responsibility for the internal platform and identity landscape.

Tasks

• Administration and further development of the Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD environment, including SSO, Conditional Access, MFA, User Lifecycle, and License Management.
• Administration and configuration of Jira, Confluence, GitHub, GitLab, and Microsoft 365.
• Implementation of access controls, RBAC policies, and audit trails to support security and compliance standards.
• Automation of recurring tasks such as user provisioning, license allocation, and policy enforcement using scripting or infrastructure as code.
• Monitoring of platform availability, setting up alerting, and proactive problem-solving.
• First point of contact for internal IT and tooling inquiries.
• Support in vendor-, SaaS-, and licensing management.

Qualification

• More than 3 years of experience in IT administration, systems engineering, or platform engineering.
• Fundamental practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Experience in administering Atlassian tools and Git-based platforms.
• Solid understanding of IAM concepts like RBAC, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• German language skills at least B2 level.
• Structured, documentation-oriented, and very self-reliant working style.
• Experience with scripting or automation is a big plus.
