Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Platform Developer with a strong background in the networking domain to work on feature development for a next-generation platform in the optical networking space.

The role involves end-to-end ownership of feature development, technical planning, system bring-up, performance improvements, and collaboration across hardware, software, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and debug complex platform features using C/C++ in a networking environment

• Plan technical requirements and manage software/hardware build and release cycles

• Design, develop, and test HW/SW solutions aligned to customer and system requirements

• Work on board bring-up and datapath bring-up, including kernel-level debugging

• Collaborate with SoC and hardware vendors to integrate and troubleshoot third-party components

• Improve product performance, reliability, and system scalability

• Create and maintain technical documentation supporting product evolution

• Work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural engineering environment

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech with 8+ years of relevant experience

• Strong expertise in C/C++ with excellent system-level debugging skills

• Hands-on experience with bootloaders, kernel internals, and board bring-up

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals

• Experience with bus protocols such as I2C, SPI, PCIe

• Proven expertise in driver development and low-level troubleshooting

• Experience working with SoC-based platforms and related chipsets

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet milestones

• Good oral and written communication skills and strong collaboration mindset

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in IP, Optical Networking, or Telecom domains

• Exposure to optical datapath and optical technologies

• Experience with chassis-based routers or switches

• Knowledge of DSPs, Gearbox chips, Retimers, and related hardware components

• Familiarity with SDKs for networking or hardware platforms

• Understanding of 32-bit and 64-bit SoC architectures and toolchains

• Prior experience working in a multicultural or global team environment
