Summary We are looking for an experienced Platform Architect to be responsible for the hardware-software integration architecture for the next generation of digital cockpit platforms, including Instrument Cluster, HUD/AR-HUD, Android-based IVI, Cockpit Domain Services, Middleware, BSP, Linux, Android Automotive, and hypervisor-based multi-OS environments. The role requires end-to-end ownership across SoC enablement, BSP, kernel, drivers, HALs, middleware, vehicle communication, display/audio/video paths, power management, security, performance, and production integration with customers, suppliers, and software teams. Responsibilities Define the end-to-end platform architecture across Hardware/BSP, Bootloader, Kernel, Drivers, Middleware, Android Automotive, Linux Services, Cluster Services, and Application layers Own the digital cockpit platform architecture for Instrument Cluster, HUD/AR-HUD, Android IVI, Multi-display systems, and vehicle information integration Drive H/W and S/W integration with SoC vendors, board teams, OS platform teams, Middleware, HMI, Cluster, Validation, and Tier-1/Supplier teams Architect the Android HAL and framework integration including VHAL, Audio HAL, Power HAL, Display/Graphics, and interface integration Define the approach to Android Security and Compliance Architect Linux Middleware and Cockpit Services for Ethernet, SOME/IP, and REST communication Independently work on hypervisor-based architecture for mixed-criticality cockpit platforms Create Architecture Diagrams, UML views, Sequence Diagrams, and Technical Decision Records Lead Architecture and Design Reviews, Vendor Coordination, and Failure Analysis Must-Haves 15+ years of experience in embedded automotive platforms with strong H/W and S/W integration knowledge German C1 or higher is essential for customer meetings and technical workshops Comprehensive architectural experience in BSP, Bootloader, Linux Kernel, Drivers, Middleware, and Android Automotive Hands-on experience with Android HALs Solid knowledge of Android security requirements Experience with hypervisor-based multi-OS cockpits Experience in performance tuning and debugging Strong presentation and technical guidance skills Nice-to-Haves Production experience in cockpit domain controllers and multi-display systems Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, and Cybersecurity Experience with Android Automotive release and AOSP build systems Knowledge of automotive communication and diagnostics techniques Experience with cloud-based ECU developments and automated platform validation
