About the Team The Applied Materials Display Group is looking for a Process Development Engineer to join our team in support of the display market. This position requires a motivated individual with experience in plasma processing, thin film deposition, and process development. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment supporting new product development and customer applications. Job Summary The Process Development Engineer will be responsible for developing new plasma-based processes for thin film deposition used in display manufacturing. This includes, but is not limited to, process optimization, equipment characterization, and customer support. The candidate will work closely with other engineers and scientists in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities * Develop and optimize plasma processes for thin film deposition. * Characterize and troubleshoot equipment and processes. * Analyze data and prepare reports. * Collaborate with other engineers and scientists. * Support customer applications. * Develop new processes for new product development. * Travel to customer sites (domestic and international) to support equipment installations and customer applications. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred. * Experience in plasma processing and/or thin film deposition. * Experience with process development and optimization. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP). * Experience with display manufacturing processes a plus. * Experience with equipment operation and maintenance a plus.
