Electrical Engineer / Project Designer (m/w/d) Railway Technology in Frankfurt am Main (1668)

Your career in planning modern energy supply systems for rail transport.

In this position, you will take on a central role in planning and designing railway energy supply facilities. You will accompany projects from the initial technical design to commissioning and ensure that high-performance and safe energy supply solutions are implemented in the rail field.

Tasks

• Plant Planning: Planning, designing, and implementing railway energy supply facilities and networks, including railway energy supply and 50-Hz plants.
• Dokumentation: Creating project-specific drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
• Project Development: Technical guidance of projects from the planning phase to commissioning.
• Technical Support: Supporting sales, project development, and procurement with technical questions.
• System Selection: Evaluating technical alternatives and determining optimal solutions within the existing product portfolio.
• Interface Work: Coordinating with internal departments and external project participants to ensure smooth processes.

Qualification

• Qualification: Completed studies in the field of energy or electrical engineering, alternatively further education as a technician with work experience in switchgear construction or equivalent qualification.
• Work Experience: Several years of experience in planning and designing switchgear for high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems.
• Technical Understanding: Familiarity with reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Tools: Experience working with CAD systems; knowledge of BIM is advantageous.
• Languages: Fluent German skills, as well as good English skills in writing and speaking.
• Mobility: Willingness to occasional, short business trips.
