Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Protect product design intent while resolving manufacturing constraints.
- Support Model Year (MY) Launch from digital build through physical builds, including quality planning, issue tracking, and containment for critical issues.
- Provide technical leadership for cross-functional teams in applying quality initiatives.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and standards for plant personnel.
- Drive process variation reduction and advanced problem-solving to mitigate risks.
- Warranty: Analyze customer claims, lead teams for issue resolution, deploy information to the plant floor for containment, track trends, and prepare monthly reports for management.
- Engineering Changes & Deviations: Evaluate impact of product changes on plant operations (installation, ergonomics, safety, tooling, obsolescence), coordinate implementation, and lead discussions for robust solutions.
- Global Issue Management (GIM): Submit and track warranty issues, gather evidence, and ensure closure within 48 hours.
- New Product Launch: Manage product introduction, containment, and issue identification; lead RCA efforts and present updates to top management.
- Internal Plant KPIs: Manage issue lists (PDCA/Pareto), lead root cause analysis, implement solutions, and report status to plant management.
- Additional Support: Intervene in critical cases (yard, PRI), lead Q-teams, apply escalation processes, and present status in recurring meetings.
