Plant Manager - Treatment

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our treatment plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the plant, managing a team of production staff and maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency.

Job Duties:

• Manage and coordinate the operations of the medical waste treatment plant
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Oversee the disposal and treatment of medical waste materials
• Maintain records of waste processing activities
• Train and supervise plant staff
• Implement and enforce plant procedures and policies
• Monitor equipment performance and maintenance

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a waste treatment plant
• Knowledge of medical waste regulations and best practises
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education:

Must have a matric and a relevant qualification is an added advantage

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a waste treatment plant

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of waste treatment processes
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Must have electrical experience
• Must have mechanical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Waste Management
• Experience working in the healthcare industry

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a medical waste treatment plant environment. It may require occasional weekend or evening shifts.
