Job description

RPO Recruitment’s client in the Mining Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Plant Manager in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal. Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all resources and processes to maximise the productivity of daily production in terms of quality standards, production volumes, yields, costs and lost time Develop and maintain process knowledge competences at the factory (including technical and management competencies, talent review, career and succession planning) Lead and manage a team of operators, supervisors, engineers and other support staff to ensure effective communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, systems and equipment. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders including customers, suppliers, regulatory bodies and internal departments. Manage budgets, costs and resources effectively to achieve business objectives. Provide guidance, support and coaching to team members to enhance their skills, knowledge and performance. Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining safety procedures, policies and practices. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production volumes, yields, quality standards, costs and lost time. Develop and maintain a culture of continuous learning, innovation and improvement within the factory.
