Plant Manager - Midrand

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Plant Manager to join our client’s team in Midrand. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a driven professional to oversee and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety. Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
• Lead and manage plant staff, ensuring high performance and motivation
• Implement production plans and monitor output against targets
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability
• Monitor budgets and control operational costs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant
• Maintain high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction
• Prepare reports and communicate performance metrics to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Plant Manager or in a senior manufacturing leadership role
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, production planning, and quality management
• Excellent leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills
• Proficient in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence
