Plant Manager – Gas-Power Plant

Job Summary

Dietsmann is seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead the operations and maintenance of a Gas-Power Plant. The ideal candidate will ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards. This leadership role requires a strong background in power generation, team management, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Gas-Power Plant, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Act as primary interface with the Client organization and relevant authorities.
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams including operations, maintenance, and engineering staff.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize plant efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with Romanian and EU environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Monitor plant performance metrics and initiate continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage plant budgets, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with Dietsmann’s corporate and regional teams on reporting, audits, and strategic planning.
• Lead emergency response and crisis management procedures.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power plant operations/energy industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale thermal or combined-cycle power plants.
• Strong knowledge of Romanian energy regulations and international O&M standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English and Romanian is required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
