Job Description – Plant Operations Head - Gujarat Position Title: Plant Operations Head Department: Operations / Manufacturing Reporting To: COO Location: Bharuch, Gujarat Job Purpose The Plant Operations Head is responsible for leading the overall plant operations and ensuring achievement of business objectives related to production, profitability, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The role is accountable for the plant’s overall P&L performance, operational excellence, and strategic efforts to drive growth and improvement. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives, including production planning, process optimization, and supply chain management. • Lead and manage a team of operations personnel, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and accountability. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, experimentation, and learning from failures. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. • Analyze and interpret financial data to inform business decisions and optimize plant performance. • Identify and mitigate risks associated with production, quality, safety, and environmental aspects. • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans to achieve business objectives. • Provide regular reports to the COO on plant performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement. Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, operations management). • Minimum 8 years of experience in plant operations or a related field. • Proven track record of achieving business objectives, improving operational efficiency, and driving growth. • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines. • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
