Planning Manager

About the Role The Planning Manager will lead end-to-end inventory management and supply chain operations to optimize product availability, drive sales and margin, and support overall company financial goals. This role partners closely with Purchasing, merchandising, and logistics teams to determine purchase quantities, align inventory with demand forecasts, and ensure efficient allocation across wholesale, ecommerce, and DTC channels. You will own the full inventory lifecycle—from initial planning through receipt of goods, storage, and ultimately, sale or disposition. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and maintaining comprehensive inventory plans that balance product availability with supply chain constraints and business objectives. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes as needed. • Analyzing sales data and market trends to inform purchasing decisions and optimize inventory levels. • Managing relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. • Developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track inventory performance, including fill rates, inventory turns, and days inventory outstanding. • Providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership on strategic initiatives related to supply chain optimization and inventory management.
