Job description
Job Title: Planner / Senior Town Planner
Location: Leeds, UK
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are looking for a talented and motivated Planner or Senior Town Planner to join our growing planning team in Leeds. You will play a key role in delivering a wide range of planning projects across the residential, commercial, retail, and mixed-use sectors.

Key Responsibilities-
Manage and deliver a variety of planning applications, appeals, and development appraisals.

Provide planning advice and guidance to clients across both public and private sectors.

Prepare and submit planning applications, supporting documents, and representations for Local Plan consultations.

Undertake site appraisals, feasibility assessments, and planning due diligence.

Engage with local planning authorities, stakeholders, and communities.

Support business development activities including writing proposals and attending networking events.

Supervise and mentor junior team members (for Senior Planner level).

Stay up to date with changes in planning legislation, policy, and best practice.

RTPI accredited degree or equivalent in Town Planning or a related subject.

MRTPI qualified (or working towards accreditation if applying at Planner level).

2-6 years' relevant planning experience in consultancy, developer, or local authority.

Strong understanding of the UK planning system and current planning policy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage projects, clients, and deadlines effectively.

Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
