Senior Maintenance Planner

Role Mission

The Senior Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations by developing and implementing detailed preventive and corrective maintenance plans. This professional aims to maximize asset availability and reliability, minimizing costs and downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Alignment of strategies with business priorities defined by General Mills and with the fundamental Maintenance systems established in the Operational Excellence program, the Zero Loss Culture.
  • Create, review, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance plans for all equipment and facilities based on the ABC curve of assets.
  • Determine the appropriate frequency for maintenance activities based on failure analysis and equipment performance history.
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of maintenance plans and identify areas for improvement.
  • Generate periodic reports on the efficiency of maintenance operations and present recommendations for improvements.
  • Perform root cause analysis of recurring failures and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Be the guardian of all planned maintenance pillar processes in the Zero Loss Culture.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the company, such as production, safety, and quality, to align maintenance plans with the organization's operational and strategic needs.
  • Develop and conduct training and workshops to empower the team and disseminate best maintenance practices.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Analyze the cost-benefit relationship of different maintenance approaches and make informed decisions to optimize financial resources.
  • Be a protagonist in the implementation of PCM products in production areas by conducting training and audits whenever requested.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering: Production, Electrical, Mechanical, and Automation;
  • Previous experience in a factory routine with involvement in maintenance management systems;
  • Experience in risk analysis.
  • Knowledge of SAP module PM
  • Advanced proficiency in the Office suite
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Analyst, or Maintenance Programmer
  • Desirable intermediate English
  • Desirable knowledge in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio)
