Materials Planner
Job description
Responsibilities
- Perform material planning according to production requirements and customer demand.
- Analyze consumption, purchases, inventory levels, production, and waste to generate inventory balances and projections.
- Develop demand projections and material needs based on forecasts, anticipating requirements for the following weeks.
- Coordinate with different operations and internal clients on necessary strategies to ensure material availability.
- Analyze demand trends, volumes, and changes in production schedules to anticipate impacts on supply.
- Perform capacity analysis and identify potential constraints or critical points that may affect demand fulfillment.
- Generate sourcing strategies that allow for maintaining adequate inventory levels and ensuring production continuity.
- Develop and track reports and indicators related to demand, inventory, consumption, and capacity.
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and other Supply Chain areas to align material needs with operational requirements.
Requirements
- Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, Business Management Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in Supply Chain processes, particularly in material, demand, or production planning.
- Experience or knowledge in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes.
- Knowledge of MPS, MRP, and ERP systems.
- Experience in inventory control and analysis.
- Knowledge of sourcing and supply chain processes.
- Ability to analyze demand, consumption, inventory, and production capacity.
- Proficiency in handling information and preparing reports for decision-making.
- Analytical, organized, and planning-oriented profile.
- Good communication skills and internal customer orientation.
- Ability to make decisions and follow up on commitments.
- Availability to travel approximately 20% of the time.
