Job description
Do you want to work on airplanes and directly contribute to safety and quality in aviation? As an Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker, you are responsible for the repair and maintenance of aircraft parts. You work precisely according to established guidelines and with professional tools. You assess damages, perform repairs, and ensure that every part meets the highest standards again.
What will you do as an Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker?
- You assess damage to aircraft parts and determine which repairs are necessary;
- You perform repairs and maintenance work according to the applicable repair guidelines;
- You replace damaged sheet metal parts and repair damages to aluminum or other aircraft materials by drilling, reaming, countersinking, spotfacing, light milling, grinding, sawing, and deburring;
- You use sheet metal tools and small machines to fit or repair parts;
- You work according to strict safety regulations to ensure that the aircraft are back in optimal condition;
- You work in a professional and international team on diverse projects.
What do you bring as an Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker?
- A completed MBO (vocational education) in metalworking or a comparable technical education;
- Work experience as a sheet metal worker (aluminum) or metal worker (experience in aviation is a plus, but not required);
- Good technical skills and a sharp eye for detail;
- Ability to work precisely according to specifications and technical drawings;
- Good command of the English language, as this is often the working language within projects;
- Possession of a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) or willingness to apply for one.
What do you receive as an Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker?
- A gross monthly salary between € 2,700 and € 3,200, depending on your knowledge and experience;
- Travel allowance of € 0.23 per kilometer (max. 30 km one way);
- 8% holiday pay;
- 25 vacation days + 13 ATV days (reduction in working time);
- Pension scheme from the first working day;
