Pig Breeding Head Technician

As our operation grows, we are seeking dedicated and experienced Pig Breeding Head Technicians to lead our breeding program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and supervision of piggery breeding program activities
• Collecting pig semen
• Processing pig semen for use in artificial insemination
• Performing artificial insemination in a piggery setting
• Livestock heat detection
• Administering vaccination of, and medication to sow herd

Requirements:

• Certificate III or higher in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent experience) or one year work experience in similar role
• Strong knowledge of artificial insemination, farrowing management, and herd health monitoring.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a hands-on, rural environment.
• Commitment to animal welfare and workplace safety.
