PI Contract Engineer - DMU

Your future role
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Product Introduction Engineer to join our team. This is a growing team who play a critical role in supporting the transition of our Alstom vehicles from manufacturing in to maintenance and service. This role will initially be based in Bellevue, Perth and be responsible for supporting the product introduction of the DMU fleet. This will be a 24 month fixed-term contract, at which point there may be an opportunity to extend or relocate to other Alstom ANZ project sites.
We’ll look to you for:
- Customer Site Oversight During Warranty: Supervising and managing the customer site for DMU throughout its warranty period, ensuring compliance with ISO and EHS standards and zero deviation from Alstom's policies.
- Execution & Performance Management: Ensuring delivery within the allocated QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) budget during the warranty and Field Modification Implementation (FMI) phases.
- Reliability & Experience Feedback: Coordinating contributions to reliability growth and return of experience from PI implementation teams, and act as the single technical point of contact for issues and incident resolution.
- Repair Loop & Supplier Coordination: Managing the repair loop with suppliers and support the quality team by recording Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ) and providing technical attribution.
- Customer Interface & Technical Support: Liaising with PTA for modification approvals and implementation, support the PTA Help Desk during incidents, and recommend ways to minimize operational impact.
- Contractual & Service Targets: Achieving and reporting on contractual availability milestones and service reliability targets.

- Customer relationship management experience, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in project execution/delivery.
- Experience in a similar role within Rail/Rollingstock will be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or similar).
