About the Role
Step into a dynamic mobile role, travel and work within the community across Northland. Provide physiotherapy and/or occupational therapy treatments to a variety of patients within their own homes. Make a meaningful difference by working closely with your patients, maximising their independence and encouraging them to live as freely as possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat a wide range of serious injuries, i.e. traumatic brain & spinal cord injury, complex polytrauma, and burn patients
  • Support patients with recovery, i.e. from surgery, stroke, sports injuries, arthritis, and back pain
  • Travel across Northland to provide cares to patients in their own homes
  • Develop tailored rehabilitation programs in consultation with patients
  • Deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care
  • Liaise with other health professionals and referrers
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Work within your professional competence and scope of the practice

Skills and Experience

  • Must be registered with the Physiotherapy or OT Board of New Zealand, and hold a current APC
  • Confidence working autonomously
  • Solid understanding of acute care and working with ACC claims and contracts
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communication and report writing
  • Value professional growth and team collaboration
  • Hold a current full and clean driver's license with reliable transport
  • Knowledge of the Northland area preferred
